UAV Industries is Business As Usual, with heightened health and safety procedures in place
To all our valued students and clients:
Health and safety have always been at the heart of UAV Industries’ drone training and operations service. Amidst an unfolding Coronavirus pandemic, we remain calm and collected, while ensuring we take all steps necessary to keep all of our staff, our customers and our business as safe as possible through this period.
With extreme urgency we have reviewed all our internal policies and procedures against the global efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. They have been modified, and staff updated, with immediate effect.
Both our commercial operations and drone pilot training divisions are business as normal; operating at standard capacity all be it with extreme forms of human physical distancing.
The commercial drone team continues to complete all our operational jobs as agreed with our customers. We are very fortunate we work in an industry where we deal with technology in the outdoors, which means we can continue to operate, while reducing human engagement to an absolute minimum.
Drone Pilot Training
We have been quick to communicate our intentions with the SA CAA, who have been fast to respond, to begin online / webinar training in order to minimise student contact in the classroom. In the interim period, we are looking at all training options via webcam and online methods and will communicate these changes in direct correspondence with students accordingly. We have in addition introduced a system of physical distancing and are running a skeleton staff at the offices with a rotation of staff working from home. All our simulator stations have been closed and exams have been limited to single person bookings.
Equipment sanitation and separation methods have been introduced for all operations and flight training to further protect both our customers and our staff. Our staff can advise you on those procedures.
Keep Up to Date
As the situation evolves, we will keep our followers up to date with evolving procedures. However, if you would like to receive email communication from the UAV Industries Operations and Training teams on these procedure updates, please leave your name in the comments and we’ll get in touch with you privately. If you have any further queries or concerns at this stage, please contact us at email@example.com
